A bit about me
Except writing
I was a late bloomer when it came to writing. I had dabbled with poetry like most teen-girls, but my mild dyslexia and natural propensity to be a grammar assassin gave me chills when it came to putting pen to paper. And became an anxiety-inducing nightmare at the thought of others reading and vocalising opinions about said disaster.
And yet, here we are
In 2015 my first book burst from me onto the page and the long and painful process of editing, polishing and publishing followed. However, this incredible mystery tour led me to the honour of being awarded the inaugural Somerset Writer in Residence (more astonished gasps echo from the bleachers). This incredible experience was only one door that the adventure of writing thrust in my face. I also began the journey of taking on and learning more about:
- Teaching writing
- Facilitating a Writers Group
- Rediscovering photography (all website images)
- Book Cover Design
- Blogging
- Podcasting
- Writing (infrequent) newsletters
- Attempting to engage the Socials
- Committing to writing a book series
